These are the documents you should collect in order to apply.

1. Your home Driver's Licence


2. Your Gaikokujin Card.

Each time you go to the driving centre, they will check all your documents again. if you happen to move apartments before you go again to the centre, dont worry. They simply make a new photocopy and write your new address on the application.

3. The Translation of your home driver's licence from JAF

4. A recent Photo 2cm by 1.5 cm
You can get 2 photos easily at the centre for 600 yen. Here are a rough translation of the Japanese instructions in the booth..

"Please Look at the Red light. On the count of three,
look at the lenses. 1, 2 , 3, taking photo.
Thank you very much. Please wait."
